Telelaget was coordinator and host for the 2009 7-Lag Stevne. The theme was "Bridging the Generations". The University of Wisconsin-River Falls was the site of the 2009 Stevne, and is located approximately an hour west of the Twin Cities.  Two tours were available:  On Thursday, busses brought participants to the Heritage Center in New Richmond, and on Sunday people were invited to attend a church service at Mindekirken, the Norwegian Lutheran Church in Minneapolis and visit the Old Muskego Church, which now sits on the campus of Luther Seminary in St. Paul.  Entertainment was provided by Torgeir Straand (fiddler) and Tone Tveito (folksinger) from Telemark, and LeRoy Larson and the Minnesota Scandinavian Ensemble Show Band. Jeff Mueller, president of the upper Midwest Norwegian-American Chamber of Commerce, spoke about the relationship between the United States and Norway in business, education and cultural exchange.  On Thursday evening, there was a showing of the 1965 movie "Heroes of Telemark," starring Kirk Douglas.
