Note: Sondre Norheim
(father of modern skiing) was a first cousin of Svenung Vestå’s
mother, Kari
|
Eigilsdtr. A wedding gift for Svenung and Helbjørg’s in 1875 from
Sondre Norheim was a pair of silver
|
spoons. Sondre
had been awarded a pair of
silver buckles in a ski competition. They had been melted down and
made into silver spoons which are still in the family today.
Note: The Kviteseid Bygdesoge lists Svenung Tollefson Vestå as
Sveinung Talleivsson Versto (Homme 59).
