Ole was tenant at Bømogen on the Bøen farm.  His father was Østein Olsen Blomhaugen and his mother was Gunhild Tovsdatter Såheim.  Ole married his cousin Liv. Ole and Liv came to America in 1860 and settled at Ridgeway, Iowa with his brother Tov.  Later they moved to Coulton in Minnehaha County, SD.
