Additional Information:  Lars Halvorsen came to America in 1850, married Johanna Sjursdtr in 1854 in Columbia County, Hampton Township, Rio, Wisconsin, where they homesteaded and farmed all their married lives. They raised 11 children, 9 daughters and 2 sons. In the 1860 Census his name appeared as Lewis Holverson, he continued to use this spelling from then on. His parents were Halvor and Mary (Larsdtr) Halvorsen. He had 2 brothers, Ole and Halvor. I believe they all came to America the same year. Halvor & Mary were married in the Bø Church and their 3 sons were baptized & confirmed there too.
