Additional Information:  I have found no evidence that Kari Olsdatter arrived in the Shoponong settlement, but her young son, Hans, was confirmed there in 1851.  Also on the Tecumseh was Kari’s two daughters and there are Shoponong Lutheran Church records of them as well.  They all traveled to the Highland Prairie area in Norway Twp, Fillmore County, Minnesota, in 1854; with the exception of Kari Olsdatter.  She may have died between the arrival in New York in 1843 and some time in Wisconsin.
