Additional Information: Children:  *Note:Mikkel (Michael/Mike) 2 Sept 1856 – 1/1/1916 was a blacksmith, carpenter, stonemason and builder. *Tarje Gunnarson was called the Wagon man.Changed name to Swan in second generation

 Gunder Mandt: Koshkonong  Prairie; Pleasant Springs Twp. WI (One article said that he settled here in1846). He had wagon and repair shop on farm in Pleasant Springs. Moved to Stoughton, WI in 1875. Opened a furniture store in Stoughton. 

 Note: Additional info on Tarje’s family is listed in Volume Three , page 144 of Naeseth’s NORWEGIAN immigrants TO THE UNITED STATES. It lists the ship as Alert arriving in NY on 18 July 1848.
