Josephine Haugse, daughter of Julia Jensen and Ole Haugse, was born December 17, 1888 on a farm in Minnehaha County near Hartford SD.  After her marriage to Andrew Walker in Sioux Falls on May 17, 1913, they farmed near Colton SD until moving into Sioux Falls in 1939. 

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Sioux Falls.

Grateful for having shared her life are 1 son, Donald, Sioux Falls; 2 daughters, Mrs. Robert (Helen) Jones, Sioux Falls; Mrs. Bernard (Delores) Doherty, Fort Scott KS; 25 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew, May 17, 1953, on their 40th wedding anniversary; 2 sons, James and Adrian; I daughter, Mrs. Ruby Reyelts; 3 sisters, Anna Nelson, Nettie Maloney, Jennie Nelson; 6 brothers, Oscar, Henry, Joseph, Albert, Louie, and Charley.

Friends and relatives are invited to gather with the family at the Colton First Lutheran Church Downstairs Parish Hall following the committal service.
